Joaquim Alvarez, Editor in chief

Joaquim Alvarez, also known as Jo, is Co-Editor in Chief for The Broadside. He is currently studying journalism and communications at Central Oregon Community College. He has worked as a reporter, photographer and graphic designer for The Broadside since the winter of 2024. Prior to The Broadside, he had worked professionally as an advertisement designer for The Bulletin, a local newspaper.
