Parker García is a staff writer who began working for The Broadside in 2023 to pursue their long-term interest in journalism. García is a high school student who plans on studying either journalism or music in college after graduating in May. Their interest in writing started at an early age with writing short stories, poems and journaling. In their spare time, García enjoys reading, playing music, theater, astrophotography and collecting vinyl.
