The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming all around us. That can only mean one thing. Spring is here! Since most of us got a healthy dose of the sun during the break we now head back to school with what hopefully is a rejuvenated energy.
If you feel down in the dumps and feel the world closing in around as you face yet another semester of classes and exams and projects, read the quick tips below to get out of that funk and get moving ‘n grooving to the tune of a new semester.
Look at the bigger picture: Yes, we are all back in school, but look at it this way – summer is only two months away! For some, that even means graduation. So come on, you can make it for two months.
Take it one day at a time: If you’re taking 14 plus credits taking one day as it comes may be a good path to go by.
Get organized: as previously mentioned, if you are currently taking a lot of credits, having a proper organizational system at the start of the term can be a life saver. If you implement this, there will be no missing assignments, or papers that you forgot to write and will help make this last semester go by flawlessly.
Don’t get overwhelmed: It’s ambitious to take 19 credits, and the risk is getting over-saturated with school, work and extracurricular activities. There is nothing wrong with spacing out your classes in a manner that will help you be productive.
Its okay to take a break: It’s okay to have a day where you don’t think about school, or work or anything and you get to decompress and do mindless stuff – like binge watch the latest season of House of Cards on Netflix) just dont let it get out of hand.
Don’t forget to above all Treat Yo Self!
Now, for the sixth entry in the series of Guy-code and Girl-code, The guide to Today’s Young People:
#5 You should not borrow money from a friend that you know you’re not going to pay back. Never ask for more than $10, he’s your friend, not an ATM machine so stop pushing his buttons hoping some green will come out. #GUYCODE
#5 You should always have your friend’s back. Especially when she’s fighting with her mate, and even if she’s completely wrong. If you plan on calling her “friend” afterwards have her back. Period.#GIRLCODE
