COCC instructor granted patent for photography innovations
Natasha Bacca, a Central Oregon Community College instructor, has been granted a patent for her innovations in photography.
The patent was applied to an original artistic process developed by Bacca. Using self-created light tools, photo-sensitive paper and photo-chemical processing, Bacca invented a way to create paintings out of light.
Bacca currently teaches photography at COCC. Her art using this process is featured on the 2010 label for Jubelale, a local beer. It has also been featured in national exhibits and private, public and corporate collections, according to a press release.
