Volunteers help ready COCC’s community garden for its use next year.
COCC Garden Volunteers prepared the schools’ community garden for its use in the next season. They cleaned the area of leaves and laid down manure and compost to enrich the soil for the next growing season. The volunteers were also treated to live music thanks to Jeff Fortenberry.
A huge thank you to Ryan Crouter, Frank Payne, Melissa Jones, Merideth Humphries, Michele DeSilva, Teigan Ehrat, Hilary McDonald, Sarah Fuller, Ruby Paustian, and Noelle Bell Copley for their hard work and dedication to the community garden. Thanks are also in order for Cherie Swenson and Kayla Pierce who organized the event, making it possible for everyone to get involved.
