Rick Spriggs is a staff writer for The Broadside. This is his first term writing for the publication as well as his first foray into news reporting. Spriggs is in his final term completing a transfer degree and plans on attending University of Oregon to focus on food studies, politics and writing. Outside of his academic interests he finds joy in good food, good drink, and good conversation. When not working or enjoying a nice meal out you can find him at the cinema, on Mt Bachelor, or spending time with his two German Shepherds
