The Humane Society of the Ochocos has many cats and dogs ready for adoption. These animals need loving owners and suitable homes.
Nevah is a Catahoula and Wired Fox Terrier mix about a year old. She will need to be the only dog in a household; however, she is a very happy dog and gives the best warm hugs. Nevah came from a shelter in Texas, where she was on track to be euthanized. Fortunately, she was brought to the Humane Society of the Ochocos, as this is a non-euthanizing Humane Society.

Coda is a shepherd lab mix around four years old. Coda is a big boy who loves to play ball. For extra character, he has a birthmark on his tongue! For four years, he traveled across the U.S. and parts of Canada, living in a van with his owner, an artist. He was brought to the Humane Society when his owner could no longer take care of him.

Bella is a heeler pit terrier mix. She will be five years old in a couple of days. Bella is lovely but will need to be the only dog in the home. Bella was adopted out four different times within a 6-month period. She was found on the side of the road just down the street from the Humane Society. Even though she has had a rough start in life, she still has her signature smile.

Shawna, who works at the Humane Society of the Ochocos, said, “Call us!” If you’re looking to adopt a unique companion, give the Humane Society of the Ochocos a call for an appointment or inquire about pet availability. If you know of a pet that needs a new home, the Humane Society is also available to assist in finding the right home.
