Regal Old Mill 16 & IMAX theater is now open. COVID-19 had shut the movie theater down for six months, but the Old Mill theater opened its doors to the public on Aug 28.
There will be new safety measures for guests and staff. Starting with the staff, every day, they will have their temperatures checked. Masks are required for everyone unless you are eating. Mounted hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed at both entrances to the theaters. Vending machines and water fountains will not be available for use. The theater has increased its fresh air intake by 50%-100%, which will allow for more fresh air circulation throughout the auditoriums.
Reserving tickets on the Regal App is quick and picking the right seat for you is easy. You can download the Regal App through the App Store or Play Store on your phone. There will be two seats between each party for safe distancing, as auditorium capacities have been reduced to 50% for COVID safety purposes. Regal employees will be walking throughout the theater to make sure everyone is complying with the rules.
There will be a reduced menu, back to the basics with popcorn, drinks, and candy. The concession counter will not be taking cash, so be prepared to pay with a card or gift card. There are no refills for large drinks and popcorn. You can also use the App to order your snacks and drinks before your movie starts.
The movie theater will show a mix of classic movies and new movies because the production of new films has slowed and/or has been canceled. Classic movie tickets are selling at $5 and new movies have a range between $10- $18.50 for adults.
When upon going to a movie, the lobby and theater had little to no people, as can be expected since people may error on the side of caution.
