The Madras campus will soon have a new administrator. Courtney Snead, Interim Redmond and Madras Campus Administrator for Central Oregon Community College turned in her resignation letter on Oct. 30, 2014.
Snead’s resignation was due to her pregnancy due date approaching in February.
“The excitement to be a mother is extremely high,” Snead said. “It has been really fun opening a new campus.”
During her time in the position, Snead worked to increase access to education for “underrepresented” populations in the rural communities.
“As the campus Administrator it will be weird not working but I am very excited about motherhood,” Snead said.
The application deadline for the position was Jan. 5.
