A new 147 space parking lot is set to open up soon north of Barber Library. The space will be ready for at least partial use once paving is complete.
Lights will be installed in October.
“Campus Safety will post signs alerting people that there are no lights in the lot,” according to Jim Jones, project manager for the new parking lot project via email.
The lot will be accessible through College Way or Regency street in the hope that the congestion on College Way will be reduced.
“The project was competitively bid and the low bid by Hooker Creek Companies LLC was $228,228,” according to Jones.
