The culinary club had its annual Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser where they made over 350 pies to sell for this year’s Thanksgiving. Throughout the month of November, members of the culinary club met at the Cascade Culinary Institute to work on getting the pies done. The pie flavors included chocolate bourbon pecan and chai spiced apple pie. On Monday, Nov. 25 2024, people who either pre-ordered or wanted to purchase a pie from the Culinary Institute came in to pick them up.
A culinary and baking student, who is a part of this club, shared her favorite thing about this process. “My favorite part was getting to know the people in my cohort, I got to know them a lot better and also I had a lot of fun baking the pies, I love baking! It was fun to see the process of how they did it compared to other places,” said Vivo Greninger.
The Culinary Club uses the funds from the pies to support the club and its further endeavours.
