Local restaurant Anthony’s will host a completely volunteered fundraiser for Cascade Culinary Institute on Oct. 1. This is the ninth year Anthony’s has hosted this fundraiser, and over the past eight years they’ve raised $155,000 for the Institute, according to Brittany Nichols, development officer for the Central Oregon Community College Foundation.
“It’s part of Anthony’s corporate philosophy that each restaurant takes on a local charity,” said Nichols, “and we’re lucky that they’ve picked us every year.”
On Oct. 1, Anthony’s will close down their whole restaurant for the fundraiser, which includes a silent auction and raffle.
“Everyone at Anthony’s is volunteering their time for this event,” said Nichols. “The wait staff, management, chefs, cooks–the entire staff.”
The event will be at 6 p.m. on Oct. 1 and will include a reception and a four-course dinner. Tickets are $100 each. To make a reservation call (541) 318-3783.
