A high school culinary competition was held by Central Oregon Community College, May 18 at the Jungers Culinary Center.
Bend Senior High Team No. 2 took First Place and received a $1500 scholarship with their dish, which featured a “tender, juicy chicken breast accompanied by a light garlic cream pan sauce, served with a stack of white and orange sweet potatoes along with roasted red beets and savory grilled asparagus.”
The winning team consisted of Bend Senior High juniors, Samantha Brewer, Annaleise Hollingsworth, Mekayla Isaak and Kameran Joel.
