Central Oregon Public Transit, Cascades East Transit, hosted their first annual haunted bus stop event since 2019. On the evening of Oct. 31, 2022, CET set out on a Halloween community contribution since the event was shut down during 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
CET hosted three haunted bus stops all day on Halloween. These locations included: the Deschutes Downtown Public Library, Oregon State University Cascades, and Barber Library at Central Oregon Community College. After two years since this event was shut down, CET members were excited to help pass out candy, create connections and show Halloween spirit. Kids and college students alike were ecstatic to participate in their giveaways. The CET team provided candy, beverages, candy, and gear to all who showed up.
Derek Hofbauer and Laura Scully from Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council, showcased the event. CET bus drivers, Courtney O’Conner, and Dianna both drove the haunted bus stop experience from pick up to arrival.
