Locally owned and operated, Topless Headwear Company is a bright spot in Bend’s business culture, with a wide array of colorful
hats, headbands and masks, with a t-shirt and hoodie line on the way.

J.D. Breneiser, a Central Oregon Community College student, is part of marketing team for Topless.

“We are young, and full of ideas,” said Breneiser. “Sky’s the limit.”

Topless is offering an affordable, and stylish local option for those who enjoy Central Oregon’s outdoor life.

The company started in an interesting way. Pat Kane, the brain child behind Topless, was injured in a snowboarding accident right
here in Bend, according to Breneiser. Laid up, and unable to engage in the sports that he loved, he started knitting hats and  headbands for his boarding friends.

The gear sold so well that Kane’s family got involved to help expand this hobby into something more. John and Kelly Kane, Pat’s
father and sister were first to join in to help take Topless to the next level. As the family business continued to grow, Pat called in
friends Scott Berg and Breneiser help with graphic design and marketing, respectively.

“We are all winter sports enthusiasts and that’s important to the line,” said Breneiser.

Topless is a company made up of boarders who focus on winter sports and boarding culture, they can be found online and in stores.
They support a small roster of Oregonian athletes, and have big plans for expansion throughout the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.

The company is prepared for and anticipating continued growth, but maintaining the core values will always supersede the monetary gain for Topless said Breneiser.

Snowboarding, skateboarding and art have heavily influenced us,” said Scott Berg, one of the company’s graphic designers.

“We love to hear from boarders and see videos so email us anytime at toplesswear@gmail.com.”

If you want to get Topless, you can find them online at www.Toplesswear.com or locally in town at Mountain Supply of Oregon.
