Traditional dancing, food and festive dress joined together as mediums to honor the deceased.
On Nov. 4, Central Oregon Community College honored Dia de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, with a variety of cultural celebrations. The holiday marks a time to remember and honor loved ones who’ve died while allowing people to reconnect with the spirits of their loved ones.
Members of the Titalkwakeen dance group performed for the audience gathered in the Campus Center Building. Following the dance was a cultural discussion and other activities.
