with the support of Mid Oregon Credit Union, The City of Bend, Azura Studio, Miller Lumber, Consolidated Towing, Oregon Youth Challenge, Heart of Oregon Corps, and Mountain View High School’s naval junior reserve officer training corps.
The event consisted of handing out souvenirs, delightful treats, and triumphant music from a marching band, including all four local high schools in Bend: Mountain View High School, Bend Senior High School, Marshall High School, and Summit High School students. There were classic cars, motorcyclists, and even go-karts giving honorable waves and smiles.
Marcie Griffitts and Don Griffitts attended the Downtown Veterans Day Parade event to show their respect and appreciation for the people who have fought for this country. Don Griffitts said“ We come from a family of veterans,” and it’s important to the Griffitts to be there and to show their support.
Marty, a Bend parade enjoyer. Isn’t a veteran but shows his support every veterans day by attending the parade and acknowledging what veterans do.
