Bend, Oregon is filled with roundabouts. These strange traffic circles replace intersections all over the city. They improve traffic flow and decrease accidents, but they also provide a stage for artists to display sculptures throughout the city. Art in Public Places, a local organization, is responsible for implementing these designs and many others sculptures throughout town since 1973. The roundabout designs have been contributed by artists around the world, however many of them reside here in Central Oregon. Take a look of a handful of the fun roundabout sculptures Bend has to offer.
