Olympian and Olympic coach Joe Tyler talks with me in today’s episode of Off-Script with Liam Gibler. Joe Tyler coached the Jamaican Bobsled team that inspired the film Cool Runnings. He was the partial inspiration for the character John Candy.

His story was lost to history until now, the only sources available incomplete and not recognizing him for his role building the team. I am grateful to have set the record straight and to have been trusted with the exciting tales from Joe’s life.

In this episode, we talk about overcoming injuries to perform among the best athletes in the world. Joe recounts his trip to Jamaica and how the national bobsled team was formed. We also talk about how he felt about the film Cool Runnings and it’s accuracy.

These stories and many more in the newest episode of Off-Script with Liam Gibler.

Episodes of Off-Script with Liam Gibler are available wherever you listen to podcasts; including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Podcasts.
