Asian/ Pacific Islander Festival photo recap

The Hōkūle'a Ohana Dancers were one of many acts that performed in the Campus Center for the Asian Pacific Islanders Festival sponsored by COCC and OSU Cascades

On April 14, Central Oregon Community College hosted the Asian/Pacific Islander Festival.

The festival, located in the lower level of the Campus Center, featured performances and demonstrations, serving up food and fun for the entire family.

The festival featured a musical performance by Bill  Keale, dancing performances by Redmond’s Hōkūle’a Ohana Dancers, martial arts demonstrations, crafts  for children and adults and locally-catered

Japanese, Chinese, Hawaiian and Thai cuisine.
The free event was sponsored by COCC and OSU-Cascades Student Life and COCC Multicultural Center.

Childrean enjoyed the booths set up at the festival vendors. There was an arts and crafts area for kids at the family-friendly event.
From anime to acupuncture, community vendors shared their services realting to the Asian Island.
