A legitimate pool hall has opened its doors for business in the downtown district of Bend, Oregon.
Father and son Owners’ Jeff and Josh Duda, longtime enthusiast of the game of pool and Bend locals, opened Duda’s Billiards Bar at 1020 nw Wall Street, in winter of 2016.
”I love pool, I’m not the most skilled player, but I make up for it in enthusiasm,” Jeff Duda said.
Duda’s Billiards Bar boasts a total of ten pool tables rented out by the hour, is a 21 and over establishment, and has a sandwich and salad based menu.
Happy Hour is 3-6 pm daily for the economic savvy pool shark looking to save a buck, catch a nightly special, and get a few games of pool or shuttle board in.
“We love pool. We’re locals and we’ve been thinking about opening a billiards hall for about a decade because there just wasn’t any decent pool halls here in Bend.,” Jeff Duda said.
“Our main focus is tables and alcohol. We want to bring back the classic pool hall atmosphere, but, we’re definitely nicer than the old pool halls. We have the rustic bend feel going for us,” Jeff Duda continued.
Doors open at eleven for business and close at 12 p.m., except on Friday and Saturday, which stay open until 1 a.m.
Tournaments are currently not being held at Duda’s yet, but plans for a league and weekly tournaments are in the making.
“We’re trying to find a balance of days for our regulars who just want to come play a few games and hang out, and the pool players who seek competition. We want to eventually have a league and tournaments going soon.” Jeff Duda explained.
