COCC art student exhibit at Pinkney
Beginning February 28th, students at Central Oregon Community College’s art classes will be displaying their artwork in Pinkney Hall. The exhibit, called the Harmony and Chaos,will feature students’ work including “watercolor, acrylic, oil, graphite, ink, charcoal, leather, photography, digital media and mixed media” pieces, according to COCC’s visual arts homepage.

The opening reception is onThursday, March 3rd from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. The gallery will be open from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily.
Fundraisers for COCC scholarships.

Two fundraisers for scholarships to be held in Mazama Gym
Taste of the Town and Meal of the Year, two annual fundraising events for Central Oregon Community College student scholarships, will be held in the Mazama Gym on March 4 and 5 respectively. The events showcase meals from top chefs and restaurants in Bend and will both feature local music. The events are two of the oldest charity galas in Bend.

Taste of the Town tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and Meal of the Year reservations are $110 per person or a corporate table for 10 is $1,250.

Nursing program Fair
For those interested in entering Central Oregon Community College’s Nursing Program there will be an information session about the admission process Thursday March 10 from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. in the Boyle Auditorium Classroom, Boyle Education Center 0155. The program orientation will review the selection procedure for students interested in applyin to COCC’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program and the prerequisites for applying. This orientation is open to all who are interested and not limited to those currently enrolled in COCC. For more information you may contact the admissions office at 541-383-7500.

Bellus Vocis singer to play Wille Hall
Looking for something to do Friday or Saturday evening? Come to Wille Hall in the Campus Center and enjoy the Central Singers and Bellus Vocis concert featuring Central Oregon Community College vocal ensembles, Central Singers and Bellus Vocis. Vocalists will perform a variety of choral pieces and vocal jazz tunes. Concert times are Friday March 4, 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday March 5, 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. For more information contact the Fine Arts and Communication department at 541-383-7512 or email [email protected].

FAFSA workshops
Workshops are being offered for students who would like assistance filling out their 2011-2012 FAFSA. Financial aid staff members will be available to help students. on March 8, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. in Pioneer 200 D

3. If parents are separated or divorced, you will need the month and year of separation or divorce
4. Parents 2009 and/or 2010 Federal tax return or estimated income; if parent’s are separated or divorced you only need tax information for the parent that provides more of your support.
