Max Ruhlen, an OSU-COCC Student, skis down hoodoo on Feb. 6 During a night session at the Hoodoo Ski Resort.
If students want to spend some time on the mountain getting turns in, but are stuck in class for most of the week, there is still hope. OSU-Cascades adventures will provide a free ride up to night skiing at Hoodoo to the first ten students who arrive by 3 p.m. on Friday at Cascades hall.
Once there, one can expect to pay $20 for lift tickets, and $18 for rentals if needed. The lifts run from 3:30 to 9:00 allowing for five and a half of hours of shredding. Hoodoo has two chairs illuminated for night skiing, Easy Rider chair (green rated slope), and Manzanita chair (moderate-advanced slope).
Unlike larger resorts, Hoodoo night skiing offers a more laidback atmosphere.
